About Clock Tower

The Clock Tower operates as an Inn with eight executive suites, a bistro-style restaurant, a pub, and bar as well as a complete catering service. However, we’re in a constant state of change, with either new menu ideas, special themed nights or upgrading our technology and presence on social media.

We are centered in downtown Strathroy at the corner of Frank and Center streets. We service all of the surrounding areas including London and Sarnia. At the moment we seem to be in a growth period with ever-increasing business. We’re also looking at ways to generate new customers with our catering division.

I came across the Clock Tower property strictly by chance. I had stopped in for lunch with my wife and sous chef. After having lunch, we met the owner at that time, and after a tour of the property, he offered to sell everything to me. After much discussion and research, I decided an opportunity like this may never come along again. So I came on board, renovated the property and opened in May of 2015 as the Clock Tower Inn-Bistro-Pub and Catering. I haven’t looked back since then. Now instead of being just an employee, I am an employer with a fantastic staff.

The Clock Tower Difference

While most of our customers come from the boomer generation, we also have an influx of millennials looking for a “cool dining experience.”

This “cool dining experience” is possible because we pride ourselves on giving excellent customer service and a product that is fresh, creative and value added. What we offer at the Clock Tower is different than anyone else in town. Our emphasis is on fresh and local. Giving a fine dining experience at a reasonable price is what truly sets us apart from the competition.

Another aspect that pushes us to the top of the must-visit list is the fact that we make everything in-house and source most of our products locally. This makes me very proud. The fact that we have taken a local historic site and have brought it back to life makes me even more proud of what we do at Clock Tower.

While our dream is to keep the momentum growing and experience continued growth in the Inn and Bistro, our continued growth and popularity within the community and surrounding area, as well as the continued restoration of our heritage building, gives me a great sense of achievement.

There have been many awards given to us by the Architectural Conservancy of Ontario (ACO) for building restoration as well as local groups for our charitable donations and use of locally sourced products. However, our biggest achievement is the reviews we receive from our clients.

For all that we have received from the community, we give back to the people of Strathroy. We also sponsor both the local hockey and baseball leagues.
